2021 UPDATE- we are not booking any more presentation dates, but please email us if you have a special circumstance or request, or consider joining us at our apiary “hive dive” workshops in the field. Thanks!
We LOVE to spread the word about the beauty, benefits, and challenges of our beloved honeybee. We take pride in teaching others about what they can personally do to make our environment more beneficial for honeybees and all pollinators alike.
We speak to Scout Troops, Schools, Retirement Communities, Office Organizations, and other Events. Our presentations include a minimum 1 hour presentation covering honeybee biology, colony dynamics, current environmental challenges and disease concerns/management, honeybee products and benefits, and beekeeping practices and tools. We have visuals including a full size hive with drawn frames of comb and honey comb, as well as an observation hive with live bees (seasonally.)
We include a honey tasting which includes 4 different local, raw honey varieties and 1 organic infusion, and a blind taste test where the top 3 winners get a jar of their favorite honey!
Presentation ranges from $100-250, call or email for specifics.
