Honey Granola Bars

High in fiber and rich in flavor, granola bars can make you feel full and satisfied, especially when made right. Make your own at home with delicious local honey! Most granola bars incorporate the use of maple syrup and brown sugar as a sweetener. While both provide adequate sweetness, we think there is no option more nutritious and delicious than local wildflower honey!

Ingredients:

6 cups of oats

2 cups of bran

2 cups of wheat germ

1 cup of sunflower seeds

1/2 cup of sesame seeds

1 cup of chopped almonds

1 and 1/2 cup of raisins

1 and 1/2 cup of your favorite honey

2/3 cup of oil

2 teaspoon vanilla

4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon cloves

1 teaspoon ginger

Instructions:

Mix all the oats, bran, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and chopped almonds in a huge bowl. Set aside. Mix the honey, oil, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and ginger in a smaller bowl. Combine both mixtures in the large bowl and stir well. Bake the mixture at 300 degrees for an hour. Let it cool a little bit then stir again. Add in the raisins. The granola mixture will harden when it cools.
