A nuc (or nucleus colony) is a functioning and thriving colony of bees with a mated, marked queen and five deep frames (wood and/or plastic) with varying stages of brood, as well as honey and pollen stores. Available at the end of June 2022, weather dependent - LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.
Our nucs are made with local, survivor stock, and contain a 2022 queen. These bees are NOT imported from other parts of the country- they are acclimated to our climate and environment, and have proven desirable traits.
Our bees are inspected yearly by the NJ Department of Agriculture, and we are certified to sell nucs and queens.
Price includes a $30 box deposit which will be refunded when box is returned. Or hang on to the box- it’s a wooden box with bottom board and lid, and is perfect for collecting swarms, or for starting your own splits!
